POLIOLI has been established in 1980 and has been incorporated in the FAR in 2007, growing a productive and commercial division who keeps the same activity and production.
In 1982 Polioli began the production of Trimethylolpropane and Sodium formate, then Neopentylglycol, Pentaerythritol, Formic acid and Sodium Sulphate, Formaldehyde, Trimethylolpropane Diallylether and Maleic Anhydride and in 2006 Polioli began to sell the Biodiesel.
Polioli stopped the production of Formic acid and Sodium Sulphate, after the acquisition of Idrosol, important user of Sodium formate; Formic acid is bought for the resale.
In 2004 Polioli stopped the production of Maleic Anhydride, which is bought by other suppliers for the flaking and packaging.
In 2005 Polioli changed the production process concerning the Pentaerythritol, using the calcium hydroxide instead of caustic soda and with the production of Calcium Formate as by-product.
